Beautiful colors

Hello! Love this weather, it's sunny and cool, just beautiful. The leaves are turning an orange yellow color. On our walk today, we stopped to look at two beautiful horses, they are a couple grazing together and they looked so gorgeous side by side.
I'm getting closer to finishing up the pillow case and have now started making another retro inspired dress for my lovely daughter to wear. It's made from a brown gingham fabric that was given to me by a good friend. I'll show it to you all as soon as I finish working on it. Well off to make lunch for my family. Happy trails. KS

A fun time was had by all

Hi. Back from our walk, it's such a beautiful cool morning today. My lab did not get his walk in yesterday so today he was more than ready to get out and meet his friends. Yesterday was also a great day because I, and my beautiful daughter, and two friends went to the Pacific International Quilt show in Santa Clara. It was so much fun! and exciting to see my friends have such a good time. It was their first time there, and boy did they have fun. We walked and walked, so, so, much to see! You have many vendors of course, but the quilts were divine, and you always ask yourself "How did they do that?". They were just amazing. I especially enjoyed looking at the quilts from different countries.  I was able to get just what I needed and came home with some treasures and a fun time was had by all.

Beautiful Sunday

Hi. Yes it is a beautiful sunny Sunday. Church this morning was awesome! I love to sing, and the message was fantastic. How I adore Jesus Christ! and how thankful I am for the blessings he provides each and every day.
I'm currently working on the pillow case, almost finished with it. Its quite an easy fun project.
I try to work on it everyday, and hopefully I can finish it in a few days. Here is the start of the embroidery I am doing for this pillow case.

Fall

Hello. We just returned from a nice quiet cool walk this morning. It feels very good to get outside when it is still and just walk. My lab loves going on his walks and meeting some familiar friends along the way.
Planning to get some time in to work on the pillow case today among other little projects. I will show some pics soon. Wishing you a wonderful fall day. KS

Sew, Sweet, Sew...

Hi. I have been busy around here, I sent off the Wendy Darling dress to the little person who is going to be wearing it soon, and just finished another little size 1 dress. I like lace so I thought I would add it to the bottom of the dress, it makes the dress look very cute and sweet. Because I love embroidery, I added some to the bodice. What do you think? It will be going into my etsy shop soon.

Now, I want to show you some pictures of my drawing and some fabric I plan to use in my unique pillow case that I designed. My first one sold and now I have a request for a second one. It is a fun project because it is a good way to use some scraps of fabric and I get to embroider my own design.

I hope to get started on this project and get it finished very soon so that I can show you how I made it. Meantime I will carry on. I thank my Lord and Savior Christ Jesus for all the blessings and provisions this day. I especially am grateful for the blessing of creativity. Keep looking up, KS

It was a success!

Hello. Back from the yard sale, it was a beautiful day, sunny and cool, then it got a bit warmer in the afternoon. I feel good about it, I sold a lot and donated a lot of things to our local thrift store. I enjoyed talking to people, and helping them find what they were looking for, I especially liked helping the kind seniors who stopped by today. Here are some pics from my adventure of my yard sale.

My friend was kind enough to allow me to have the yard sale at her house, and I found this beautiful creature walking around near, so I scooped him up and put him back on the bushes. He posed for me.

Since I did not get to work on any projects today I thought I would show you the quilt I recently finished and have for sale on my Etsy shop.

The colors in this quilt really make me happy. The light pinks and greens are some of my favorites. Have a great rest of the day, happy trails. KS

Projects in the making

 I have been busy trying to get items ready for my yard sale this week. I feel good letting things go, especially things I find that I don't really need. I hope it will be a very successful sale. Its this Saturday, Wish me luck!
As for projects, this week I just about finished the Wendy Darling dress. Just have to get a thinner ribbon for it. I used a blanket binding for this picture, it works if you cannot find the satin ribbon.
I really like making unique pillow cases and I just sold one, and I got an order for another one which really made me happy. It's an original design by me, something I like doing. It's fun to create colorful pictures on them, and then to embroider them. Well, hope you all have a fun weekend and happy sewing. God Bless, KS
